Hello, I am Giulia
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Naples, Italy.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn't in the long-range plan. As with many expat moves, it began as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something much bigger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and new expectations. Daily tasks felt tougher than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and a lot of learning on the fly. Yet gradually, routines began to take shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt secure.
Why I Built Rivde Losa Vaqen
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in Italy.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Practical insights from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when there are meaningful changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Italy goes on, and the learning journey continues. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Naples or anywhere in Italy, please feel free to contact me.
Best regards,
Giulia
